Hand Made Soaps and Cosmetics
We are mad about making soap and supply lots of different natural raw materials for making it in the tradition way by the 'cold process' method. This is where you take an acid in the form of vegetable fats/oils and combine it with a strong alkali namely sodium hydroxide. The two are mixed at just the right temperature and the resulting chemical reaction is known as saponification. After a curing period, the caustic sodium hydroxide is neutralised and a lovely natural soap is the result. Other natural ingredients can be incorporated such as essential oils for fragrance, and petals and herbs for colour and texture.
