Postage Charges
Mainland UK Customers
Free-Post for knitting yarns
All of our full-price yarns are dispatched post-free to UK Mainland addresses (some exceptions - *see below) - £15 minimum order value applies.
*For heavy/valuable parcels that cannot be sent by post, delivery charges are higher for some Highland and Island areas and for Northern Ireland. Carriage charges for these areas are subsidised by us and we will notify you of the price, for your approval, before processing your payment.
Orders weighing less than 1.25kg (packaged weight) are sent by first class post (delivery 1-2 days). High value yarns and packets weighing more than 1.25kg are sent either by Royal Mail Special Delivery or by our overnight courier.
For all other products, we offer three options for the delivery of your order:
- Royal Mail Recorded Delivery/Parcel Post
- 24-48 Hour Carrier
- Royal Mail Special Delivery
Please choose whichever option you prefer from the drop-down list when you go through our checkout. The carriage charge will then be shown for the option chosen. You will be able to make any amendments you wish to your order before finally sending it to us.
Please note that if you choose the Recorded Delivery/Parcel Post option, your parcel will only be insured for up to £34 goods value. Therefore if your goods are worth more than £34 we advise you to choose one of the other options.
Highlands & Islands Customers
If you live in the Highlands or Islands of Scotland, parcels up to 1kg in weight generally cost the same in postage as to Mainland UK addresses. However, we have separate carriage charges for heavier/high-value parcels. The following postcode areas are considered to be Highlands & Islands areas:
HS, IV, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, ZE
Please choose your prefered delivery option at our check out. If the actual carriage charge is higher than that shown, we will contact you to let you know before processing your order. We will not take payment from you until we have received your confirmation.
